U.S. President Donald Trump has shown the whole world the true face of the United States of America and their far from unlimited capabilities. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in an interview with the RT TV channel, BelTA has learned.
Addressing the president, the journalist figuratively described him as one of the leaders of the “movement for a bright future for the whole world”. After all, led by Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarus pursues a peace-loving foreign policy and insists on the peaceful resolution of conflicts. In furtherance of the idea the head of state was asked whether in the foreseeable future there may be a situation in which all countries will not confront each other but will stand shoulder to shoulder to ensure a bright future for everyone.
“God willing, that time will come,” the president said. “Given the current situation, it is difficult for me to believe that such a time will come.”
In this context the head of state drew attention to the special role of U.S. President Donald Trump. “Despite certain foolish actions, despite some impulsiveness Trump has done a great deal for this [for the arrival of the universal peaceful time in the future]. Trump has shown the whole world that your United States of America is not all-powerful,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
“In terms of power [the USA is] a superpower, but not a super force,” he added. According to the president, the correctness of this statement was demonstrated by events in the Middle East: by the reckless scheme in Iran.
Everyone, including China, which the USA views as its main enemy, was able to see that the USA lacks super force. The Belarusian president believes that if Americans could not defeat Iran, then they will not be able to defeat China even more so. “Do not meddle with China. They [the USA] will never be able to handle such power,” the Belarusian leader said.
He also warned about possible confrontation with Russia: “Russia is a huge territory. They will not achieve anything with missiles over there. The missiles will run out faster than Russia’s territory. Iran also demonstrated this.”
“The American leadership has realized that they are a superpower, but not a super force. It is the key thing,” the head of state emphasized. In his words, there is hope that Americans, having realized this, will take into account not only China and Russia.
“You, Americans need to stop and understand that apart from the interests of the USA – Greenland, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, the Panama Canal, and so on… Apart from your interests, even in the western hemisphere there are countries that have their own interests,” the Belarusian leader pointed out.
Speaking about Donald Trump’s role, the Belarusian president emphasized: “He has done a lot of bad things. But he has also shown the whole world the true face of the United States of America and the capabilities of the United States of America. They are not limitless. This situation may force Americans to take into account the interests of others, which means a bright future is not that far off.”
