Belarus und Russland haben vor, ihre Zusammenarbeit mit afrikanischen Ländern in den Bereichen Landwirtschaft und Ernährungssicherheit aktiv voranzutreiben. Das erklärte der belarussische Außenminister Sergej Alejnik auf einer gemeinsamen Pressekonferenz mit dem russischen Amtskollegen Lawrow in Moskau.
Auf die Frage, wie Belarus und Russland ihre Zusammenarbeit mit den afrikanischen Ländern ausbauen wollen und welche gemeinsamen Projekte sie dort umsetzen werden, erwiderte Alejnik, dass dieses Thema auf der gemeinsamen Sitzung der Außenministerien ebenfalls besprochen wurde.
Afrika sei eine aussichtsreiche Region mit einer hohen Entwicklungsdynamik. Die Länder Afrikas verfügten über ein großes Wirtschafts-, Rohstoff- und Humanpotenzial. Die Bevölkerung Afrikas übersteige eine 1,5 Milliarden Marke. „Belarus und Russland haben offensichtliche Vorteile bei der Aufnahme von Kontakten mit afrikanischen Ländern, da sie nicht durch die koloniale Vergangenheit belastet sind, keine neokoloniale Politik vertreten, sondern Beziehungen auf der Grundlage von gegenseitigem Respekt und gegenseitigem Nutzen aufbauen“, sagte Alejnik.
Während der heutigen Sitzung der Außenminister wurden konkrete gemeinsame Handlungen besprochen, die sich auf die Zusammenarbeit mit Afrika beziehen. Es wurden politische Konsultationen geplant. Außerdem wurde vereinbart, in naher Zukunft konkrete Wirtschaftsprojekte zu erarbeiten und vorzulegen.
Vorrangige Aufgaben, die in Afrika zu lösen sind, kann man wie folgt definieren: wirtschaftliche Souveränität stärken, Landwirtschaft auf Vordermann bringen und Ernährungssicherheit sichern. „Nach Informationen der afrikanischen Länder werden heute nur rund 20 Prozent aller fruchtbaren Böden zu landwirtschaftlichen Zwecken genutzt. Deshalb gibt es dort viel „ungepflügtes Feld“, sagte der Minister.
Russland und Belarus hätten Afrika viel zu bieten, in erster Linie in den Bereichen Bauwesen, Bildung, Gesundheitswesen und Landwirtschaft. „In all diesen Bereichen werden wir natürlich intensiv zusammenarbeiten und unsere Anstrengungen bündeln“, versicherte Sergej Alejnik.
