Belarús y Sri Lanka celebrarán este año una reunión de la comisión conjunta de cooperación económico-comercial. Dichos acuerdos se alcanzaron durante la visita de trabajo del Embajador de Belarús en India concurrente ante Bangladés, Sri Lanka y Nepal, Andréi Rzheússki, comunicaron a BelTA en la Embajada de Belarús en India.
El diplomático belaruso sostuvo conversaciones con la dirección del Ministerio de Comercio y Seguridad Alimentaria, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Sri Lanka, la Policía de Colombo y otros funcionarios.
Durante la reunión con el miembro del Parlamento de Sri Lanka, ministro de Comercio, Nalin Fernando, las partes acordaron celebrar este año la tercera reunión de la comisión conjunta belaruso-ceilanesa de cooperación económico-comercial en Colombo con la participación de representantes de las comunidades empresariales de ambos países. “La parte ceilanesa expresó su interés en mantener y desarrollar lazos comerciales y económicos sostenibles con Belarús, dado su gran potencial para el desarrollo de la isla, en particular, en el sector agrícola, el complejo químico, farmacia y proyectos conjuntos”, contaron en la embajada.
Los problemas de estancia de los ciudadanos belarusos en un establecimiento de detención durante mucho tiempo sin veredicto de culpabilidad se discutieron con el inspector general de la Policía de Sri Lanka, Chandana D. Wickramaratne. El diplomático belaruso instó a acelerar la consideración del caso por las autoridades judiciales del país.
Andréi Rzheússki también se reunió con Manisha Gunasekera, jefa del Departamento de Países Occidentales del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Sri Lanka, y Senarath Dissanayake, jefe del Servicio de Protocolo del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores. Los diplomáticos discutieron toda la gama de temas de cooperación bilateral, incluida la participación de ciudadanos ceilaneses en programas educativos en Belarús, la diversificación del suministro mutuo de productos y servicios, la necesidad de actualizar el marco reglamentario, así como temas de mutuo apoyo en organismos internacionales.
En una reunión con el canciller de Sri Lanka, Ali Sabry, el último enfatizó la naturaleza amistosa y constructiva de la cooperación bilateral, y también señaló el deseo del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Sri Lanka de ayudar a resolver los problemas más importantes tanto en la cooperación bilateral como en el ámbito internacional. “Además, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Sri Lanka se puso de acuerdo con la necesidad de profundizar aún más el diálogo político entre nuestros países amigos y confirmó su disposición de celebrar consultas periódicas de las Cancillerías en Colombo en un futuro muy cercano”, relataron en la misión diplomática belarusa.
Por invitación de la parte ceilanesa, el Embajador de Belarús también participó en los eventos protocolares dedicados al 75º aniversario de la independencia de Sri Lanka.
