El ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de Belarús, Vladímir Makéi, no descarta que en el futuro Belarús pueda considerar la posibilidad de la plena participación en la Conferencia de Interacción y Medidas de Confianza en Asia (CICA), teniendo en cuenta que se está discutiendo la transformación de este foro en una organización internacional de pleno valor, anuncia BelTA.
El canciller señaló que la plataforma CICA es importante para discutir principalmente los temas relacionados con la seguridad. “Se puede decir que ahora hay muchas organizaciones regionales que están ubicadas en el espacio euroasiático y, en cierta medida, cubren los temas de cooperación militar-política, comercial, económica, humanitaria, etc.”.
Recordó que la CICA fue establecida en 1992 como un foro, mientras que en la actualidad Kazajistán está promoviendo la idea de transformar la reunión en una verdadera organización internacional. “Entonces consideraremos la posibilidad de nuestra plena participación en esta organización”, acentuó el ministro.
Al mismo tiempo, Vladímir Makéi dijo que recientemente en la cumbre de la Organización de Cooperación de Shanghái (OCS) se inició el procedimiento de la adhesión de Belarús a la organización como miembro de pleno derecho. “Tenemos que pasar por cierta etapa. No nos vamos a dispersar en muchas áreas ahora. Nos concentraremos en el trabajo en aquellas organizaciones que son de importancia prioritaria para nosotros. En particular, ahora la OCS es de gran interés para nosotros, porque llevamos mucho tiempo cooperando activamente con ella en diversas áreas que son beneficiosas para nosotros. Especialmente durante el período de sanciones. Por eso la OCS es una prioridad. Pero no descartamos nuestra participación activa en las organizaciones que nos interesan, en primer lugar, desde el punto de vista económico, político, interacción humanitaria”, marcó el titular de la Cancillería.
