2021年1月28日，恰逢中华人民共和国与白俄罗斯共和国建交29周年，白俄罗斯共和国驻重庆总领事馆在重庆市正式开馆。
出席总领事馆开幕式的嘉宾有：白俄罗斯共和国驻华特命全权大使尤里•先科、重庆市副市长李波、中华人民共和国外交部领事司领导、重庆市人民政府各部门和区域代表及外国驻渝外交使团总领事。
白俄罗斯驻华大使在开幕式中指出，近年来重庆和明斯克州的合作取得了实质性进展。白俄罗斯和重庆在“一带一路”陆上路线中占有重要的地理位置，这为两地合作创造了许多机遇。双方表示希望总领事馆开馆将为白俄罗斯和重庆以及包括3亿多人口的四川、陕西、甘肃、湖北、云南等整个领事区在经贸、投资及人文领域合作的新项目和新规划带来新的活力。
开幕式结束后，尤里•先科大使与重庆市人民政府市长唐良智举行了会谈。在会谈中，双方讨论了白俄罗斯与中国地区之间在经贸，投资，物流和人道主义领域全面合作前景。
目前，白俄罗斯驻中国的外事机构有：驻北京大使馆，驻上海、广州、重庆3个总领事馆。

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English. We hear nothing about Belarus here in the US so I am so glad to learn about your country. Keep on broadcasting in English. I also joined the Hoererklub on Facebook as I can understand German.
