Belarús no renunciará a las recomendaciones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), sin embargo, actuará acorde con la situación. Lo declaró el Presidente del país, Aleksandr Lukashenko, durante la reunión sobre las medidas primordiales para asegurar el funcionamiento estable de la economía y el sector social en condiciones de la situación epidemiológica mundial.
“Ayer recibí una carta del director general de la Organización Mundial de la Salud. Agradeció a nuestro país las actividades que emprendemos luchando contra las enfermedades. Las recomendaciones de la OMS hay que estudiarlas, no se puede renunciarlas. Por ejemplo, nos aconsejan imponer el toque de queda. Si hace falta lo haremos aislando las ciudades, los pueblos y las aldeas. Sin embargo, ¿acaso hoy en día el país enfrenta tal problema? No. Por eso no renunciamos a las recomendaciones, pero debemos actuar partiendo del conjunto de recomendaciones y nuestra experiencia. No se puede hacer algo “por si acaso”. No será peor, pero encerrando a gente sana en hospitales corremos el riesgo de enfrentar la falta de plazas”, destacó el Jefe de Estado.
Según el Presidente, en Belarús aumentó bastante el potencial de las instituciones de sanidad, las capacidades de producción de fármacos y equipos médicos nacionales. Subrayó que ahora importa evitar sobrecarga en el sistema de sanidad. Acorde con sus palabras, de momento Belarús puede con esto. “Nos importa la morbilidad del COVID-19, pero damos importancia ante todo a los casos de neumonía ya que la puede agravar el COVID-19 como suele pasar. Por eso el Ministerio de Sanidad, todo el sistema de sanidad, miles de trabajadores médicos deben centrarse en el tratamiento de las víctimas de neumonía sin olvidarse de las demás enfermedades”, señaló el mandatario belaruso.
Aleksandr Lukashenko está convencido de que el país puede combatir el problema del coronavirus. Es más, considera el Presidente, es un problema cada vez más político. “No tendremos partidarios ni simpatizante ya que avanzamos contra la corriente. Actuamos acorde con la situación y el sistema de sanidad que tenemos”, aseguró. “En este mundo estrecho seguiremos enfrentado enfermedades virales. Entonces, hay que reforzar este sistema. Es una de las lecciones. Pero de esto hablaremos después”, agregó el Jefe de Estado.
Durante la reunión se destacó que en el sector de sanidad trabajan casi 310 mil personas, el fondo de plazas representa unas 100 mil. Es de 24 horas el funcionamiento de los laboratorios donde se detectan infecciones. Las regiones tienen sistemas de prueba por unos 25 días. Es más, en el país se lanzó su producción, son mercancías de buena calidad, recordó el Presidente.
“Si la situación empeora (no excluyo nada y me preocupa cualquier ruido), haremos uso de las reservas. Las tenemos suficientes”, hizo hincapié Aleksandr Lukashenko. “En el tratamiento de la gente deben participar todas las autoridades y funcionarios más el sistema de sanidad. Por eso junto con los miembros del Gobierno y presidentes de los Comités Ejecutivos he invitado a los apoderados en las regiones y los asistentes del Presidente. Quiero que estén al tanto de la situación a nivel regional y reaccionen de manera adecuada a nivel local ayudando al sistema de sanidad”, resumió.
