70 лет назад Китай был отсталой сельскохозяйственной страной, которая изо всех сил старалась прокормить свое население. Но сегодня Китай - незаменимый поставщик в глобальной промышленной цепочке, производит и экспортирует практически все - от товаров повседневного спроса до высокоскоростных поездов.
Ниже приводятся краткие описания тектонических сдвигов в промышленной мощи Китая и движущие силы изменений, которые могут дать представление об индустриальном будущем страны.
-- Как с нуля была построена "мировая фабрика"?
Из страны, которая имела лишь горнодобывающую и текстильную промышленность, а также некоторые простые обрабатывающие производства, Китай превратился в "мировую фабрику", охватывающую почти все промышленные категории. В основе этого лежали более низкие затраты на рабочую силу и производство, чем это было в более развитых странах.
Начавшаяся в конце 1970-х годов политика реформ и открытости сделала возможным для наиболее ловких предпринимателей в прибрежных городах открытие собственных бизнесов, преодоление ими трудностей и превращение небольших мастерских в крупные компании.

С тех пор обрабатывающая промышленность Китая вступила в фазу роста. Данные Всемирного банка показывают, что в 2010 году Китай превзошел Соединенные Штаты, став крупнейшим по добавленной стоимости производителем в мире, и с тех пор уверенно занимает первое место.
-- Как Китай продвинулся вверх в производственной цепочке?
В XXI веке Китай начал фокусироваться на высокотехнологичных и передовых секторах обрабатывающей промышленности, таким образом формируя современную промышленную систему.
Новым символом обрабатывающей промышленности Китая, в дополнение к традиционным биркам "Made in China" /Сделано в Китае/ на полках магазинов, становятся высокоскоростные поезда и полупроводники. В 2017 году основные операционные доходы высокотехнологичных отраслей составили 15,9 трлн юаней /около 2,2 трлн долларов США/, увеличившись на 55,8 процента по сравнению с аналогичным периодом 2012 года.
Столь быстрое развитие можно объяснить постоянным вложением капитала в исследования и разработки, расходы на которые за тот же период увеличились на 83,6 процента до 318,3 млрд юаней.
-- Как промышленная мощь Китая будет способствовать общему будущему?
За последние десятилетия промышленное развитие Китая выиграло от открытого сотрудничества с другими странами, растущая его мощь, в свою очередь, поможет предоставить больше возможностей для других участников рынка.
В июне 2019 года Китай официально одобрил коммерческое использование 5G, что ознаменовало начало новой эры, когда применение сверхбыстрой беспроводной технологии служит подключению большего количества вещей, сервисов и игроков рынка.
Иностранные компании, такие как Nokia, Ericsson, Qualcomm и Intel, были глубоко вовлечены в эксперименты с 5G, и их, как и отечественные предприятия, приветствовали китайские регуляторы, которые ожидают их активного участия в создании, применении и продвижении сети 5G и разделения дивидендов от развития этого сектора в стране.
Как показала история с 5G, промышленные амбиции Китая ведут к большим возможностям для китайских и иностранных компаний в плане конкуренции и совместного процветания. Двигатель модернизации промышленности страна видит в продолжении открытия своего рынка и экономики для всего мира.
