Il faut que la coopération économique entre le Bélarus et le Vietnam atteigne le niveau des relations politiques. Le Président du Bélarus l’a déclaré pendant la rencontre avec l’Ambassadeur de Vietnam Le Ahn qui temine sa mission diplomatique dans notre pays. Selon Alexandre Loukachenko, le Vietnam est une des priorités de la politique étrangère du Bélarus.
« Nos relations politiques, notre diplomatie dépassent visiblement les relations commerciales et économiques. Il faut stimuler le commerce et l’économie pour qu’ils atteignent le niveau de nos relations politiques. Nous y sommes prêts. Il faut nous accélérer. Monsieur l’Ambassadeur, je tiens à vous remercier pour tout ce que vous avez fait pour le rapprochement de nos pays et nos peuples. J’aimerais beaucoup que le nouvel ambassadeur vietnamien poursuive votre politique au Bélarus. Je tiens à vous remercier de la part du peuple biélorusse pour l’amitié et la bonté que vous avez apportées au Bélarus ».
A son tour, l’ambassadeur vietnamien a souligné que les dirigeants du Bélarus et du Vietnam appartiennent à la même génération. Il est donc facile de s’entendre. Le Bélarus et le Vietnam ont conclu plus de 80 accords entre les pays, les gouvernements et les organes. L’accord sur la zone de libre échange entre les pays de l’Union économique eurasiatique et le Vietnam est entré en vigueur en octobre 2016. L’année passée les échanges commerciaux entre le Bélarus et le Vietnam se sont élevés à 135 millions de dollars.
