Strategic partnership with Russia is among Belarus’ long-term priorities, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said during his talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Moscow on 7 April, BelTA has learned.
"A distinctive feature of the relations between our countries and peoples is that traditionally after elections or appointments the leadership of the Republic of Belarus pays its first visits to the Russian Federation. This clearly demonstrates that Belarus prioritizes its long-term strategic partnership with Russia," Aleksandr Turchin said.
He noted that Russia is Belarus' main trading partner, and last year saw record high levels of mutual trade. Aleksandr Turchin added that the talks between the Russian prime minister will cover a wide range of matters.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
