Belarus introduces e-visas on 20 March

Starting from 20 March, foreign citizens will be able to enter Belarus on an electronic visa, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visa rules of the Republic of Belarus were amended by Government Resolution No. 953 of 16 December 2024.

The new option is available to holders of ordinary passports from 67 countries, including the USA, Canada, the EU, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the UK and other countries.

Electronic visas are single-entry individual visas with a validity period of no more than 30 days. Depending on the purpose of the trip, the following categories of electronic visas are available: business trip; participation in sports, cultural, scientific, educational events and internships; private trip; tourism.

Electronic visas are issued automatically. Applicants will not need to visit Belarusian consular institutions and present visa support documents.

The consular fee for issuing an electronic visa is the same as the fee for a traditional visa. In addition to the consular fee, applicants also need to pay a service fee of €6. To obtain such a visa, a foreigner shall create a personal account on the website Е-Pasluga (or through the mobile application Е-Pasluga) and submit a visa application, choosing a corresponding service – service code 3.04.01, service name “E-visa Issuance”. An e-visa application is considered within seven calendar days.

Upon entering and during the stay in the Republic of Belarus foreigners need to present their e-visa in electronic form or its hard copy at the request of authorities.

Holders of e-visas can enter the Republic of Belarus through all international checkpoints (including road and rail checkpoints, Minsk National Airport, airports of Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that all previously introduced visa waivers remain in effect.

To pay for the e-visa fee, applicants can use bank cards of the Visa International or Masterсard Worldwide payment systems.

The consular fee is:

€35 - for citizens of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia, as well as stateless persons residing in Estonia and non-citizens of Latvia;

€60 - for citizens of other countries;

€0 - (free) - for citizens of Japan;

€0 - (free) - for citizens under the age of 12 of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia;

€0 - (free) - for citizens of other countries under the age of 14 years, non-citizens of Latvia and stateless persons permanently residing in Estonia.

The internet-acquiring and service fee is €6 and is charged to each applicant, regardless of age or citizenship.

21st June was fifth International Yoga Day observed across the world. The theme for Yoga Day 2019 was "Yoga for Climate Action”. On this day, which is dedicated to inner and outer well-being of human body, people across the world practice yoga in groups. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice.
