Safety prioritized in Belarusian nuclear power plant project

Safety and reliability are the absolute priorities in the nuclear power plant that will be built in Belarus. The statement was made by First Deputy Emergencies Minister of Belarus Vasily Stepanenko in his speech during the 57th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The session takes place in Vienna. The Belarusian delegation is led by Vasily Stepanenko, who made the speech as part of the general discussion. The Belarusian official also stated that Belarus adheres to IAEA norms and standards as well as other international commitments in the nuclear power industry.
