Belarus, Russia's Bryansk Oblast seek to enhance electronic exchange trade

The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bryansk Oblast signed a cooperation agreement during the annual Russia-Belarus business meeting Commonwealth 2025 held in Bryansk, Russia. The document was signed by Aleksandr Bashliy, head of foreign economic relations at BUCE, and Antonina Katyanina, president of the Bryansk Oblast Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), BelTA learned from the BUCE press service.
 
The agreement establishes the parties' intention to join efforts and develop electronic exchange trade between Belarus and Bryansk Oblast. In particular, it implies close cooperation to attract new traders from the region to BUCE, assist in the conclusion of exchange export-import transactions by economic entities of Belarus and Bryansk Oblast, exchange best practices and marketing information, hold seminars, conferences, roundtable discussions and other training sessions and business events on exchange matters.
 
According to Antonina Katyanina, the partnership with BUCE will simplify the work of CCI as one of the key elements of the infrastructure to support small and medium-sized businesses and will open new opportunities for Bryansk entrepreneurs who are already engaged in the supply and purchase of Belarusian goods or only plan to enter the Belarusian market.
 
“Nowadays the activities of Russian chambers of commerce and industry are primarily focused on ensuring conditions to expand cooperation between Russian traders and business communities of friendly states, as well as on finding ways to promote Russian goods and services to new promising markets. Cooperation with the Belarusian exchange will greatly help in solving these tasks,” she added.
 
In turn, Aleksandr Bashliy expressed confidence that joining forces with the CCI of Bryansk Oblast will significantly increase the exchange trade between Belarus and Bryansk Oblast and help make the exchange platform the main instrument of cross-border trade for representatives of the Bryansk Oblast business community.
 
According to BUCE, in 2024 the amount of transactions conducted by Bryansk Oblast exchange traders reached $14.5 million, which was 2.5 times more than in 2023. Through the exchange Bryansk Oblast purchased Belarusian lumber, milk powder, butter, meat products, peat briquettes and gas silicate blocks, while Belarus imported oilseeds of rapeseed, rye, wheat, oats, barley and spare parts and components for machinery and equipment. As of 26 February 2025, BUCE accredited 157 Bryansk companies, a third of which came to the exchange within the last two years.
 
Founded in 2004, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange conducted its first trading session in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe. Its main function is to assist Belarusian enterprises with export and foreign companies with entering the Belarusian market. BUCE sells a wide range of metal, forestry and agricultural products, industrial and consumer goods.

21st June was fifth International Yoga Day observed across the world. The theme for Yoga Day 2019 was "Yoga for Climate Action”. On this day, which is dedicated to inner and outer well-being of human body, people across the world practice yoga in groups. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
