The total volume of Belarusian cargo transshipment through Russian ports will amount to about 15 million tonnes by the end of 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi told the media after presenting his report to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 26 December, BelTA has learned.
According to him, 20 ports of Russia are involved in the transshipment of Belarus' export cargoes. The total volume of transshipment will reach 15 million tonnes by the end of the year. “In 2019 we had the highest of 18.8 million tonnes transshipped through the infrastructure of the Baltics and Ukrainian ports. A year or two more and we will be able to replace our peak volume with the port infrastructure of Russia,” the ambassador said.
According to him, there are a number of investment programs in transport and logistics, which are agreed with Russia. “We should successfully implement them within two to three years,” he said. According to the ambassador, the president of Belarus has tasked the transport industry and the railroad to prepare information on these programs for the next meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. “Perhaps, the presidents will sign them already as a planned task. Investment resources have been allocated for this.”
The president also instructed to pay special attention to the North-South transport corridor project within the Eurasian Economic Union. Aleksandr Lukashenko sees huge potential in this project, the ambassador said. “Of course, Russia and Kazakhstan play the main role among the EAEU countries there. Azerbaijan is actively working within the framework of the free trade zone agreement. Iranian partners will be involved as well. And he [Belarusian President Aleksnadr Lukashenko] sees huge potential in this corridor. Considering that this is actually a personal project of the president of Russia (it has been repeatedly mentioned), he believes that we should be more actively involved at least in the investment decisions that have already been made.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
