Belarus will step up economic cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, Roman Golovchenko, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the UAE, told reporters.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of the United Arab Emirates in the region. "Despite the high level of bilateral political contacts between Belarus and the UAE and full mutual understanding on international issues, the advantages of the favorable climate have been made little use of so far," he said.
Analyzing the prospects of economic cooperation with the UAE, the diplomat said:

"We can focus on two areas of cooperation. Since the market of the UAE is rather narrow, we can’t count on massive supplies of Belarusian products there.
That is why, firstly, we should focus on attracting UAE investments. The state invests the earnings from the sale of energy resources into interesting projects abroad. And Belarus can offer such projects.
Secondly, we need to seek out access to the markets of the neighboring states, taking into account the influence of the Arab Emirates in the Middle East and in Africa, the food programs the country sponsors”.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
