Belarusian neighborhood might appear in St. Petersburg

       A Belarusian neighborhood might be built in Saint Petersburg, Architecture and Construction Minister of Belarus Anatoly Cherny told reporters at the seminar “Engineering in construction: domestic and foreign practices”, BelTA reports. “The first steps are to be made in Saint Petersburg. We have already agreed with the Minsk City Hall on the land plot to build a Saint Petersburg neighborhood in Belarus,” Anatoly Cherny noted. He emphasized that the number one task facing the domestic construction industry in 2014 is to increase the export of goods and services. Belarus has a powerful building materials industry. Therefore the task is not only to produce, but also to sell the output at a profit abroad and earn foreign currency on that. The industry is set to expand the export of services by 15% compared to the previous year, Anatoly Cherny informed. He noted that Belarus’ construction industry is cooperating with Kaliningrad Oblast, Saint Petersburg and other regions. “There are serious cooperation prospects with Kaluga. We will consider constructing various facilities and the Belarusian commercial mission there,” the minister added.
