Belarus has been offered to preside over sessions of the CIS Council of Heads of State, the CIS Council of Heads of Government and the CIS Foreign Ministers Council. The matter was discussed at the meeting of Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei with Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports.
Belarus appreciated this suggestion of the CIS Executive Committee and assured that it will consider it in the spirit of the country’s constructive participation in integration processes on the post-Soviet space.
Vladimir Makei and Sergei Lebedev discussed the preparation for the forthcoming CIS Foreign Ministers Council that will be held in Moscow on 4 April and the CIS chairmanship in 2014.
