Minsk Book Fair to open 5 February

The 21st edition of Minsk International Book Fair will be held in the Belarusian capital on 5-9 February, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus Nikolai Cherginets told a press conference.

Partaking in the forum will be representatives of 23 countries. Both the national book publishing industry and Belarusian authors will be widely presented. The 21st Minsk International Book Fair will be held at the national exhibition center Belexpo. The program of the fair will include book presentations, meetings with writers and publishers, seminars and roundtables. Iran was the central exhibitor of the fair last year while Russia was the Guest of Honor.

Italy is one of the regular participants of Minsk International Book Fair. Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Italy to Belarus, Stefano Bianchi, says:

"This year Italy will be represented at the Book Fair just like we did last time. We are looking forward to presenting materials which will seem interesting Belarusian readers, both adults and kids. We believe such events make great contribution to cultural exchange. He hope Belarusian authors will become popular in Italy as well and will be taking part in our book fairs" said  the Ambassador.
