Lukashenko sees strong prospects for closer cooperation, joint projects with Côte d'Ivoire

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to President Alassane Dramane Ouattara of Côte d'Ivoire as the country celebrates the national holiday - Independence Day, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.


“More than 60 years ago, the Ivorian people threw off the yoke of colonial oppression and fought for their right to self-determination. Today’s Côte d'Ivoire is developing dynamically thanks to effective reforms, is an influential member of the Economic Community of West African States, and commands well-deserved respect both on the African continent and beyond,” the congratulatory message reads.

The head of state noted that Minsk considers Yamoussoukro a reliable partner. “I am convinced that expanding bilateral cooperation and interaction within international organizations fully serves the long-term interests of our countries,” the president emphasized. “We see significant potential for strengthening ties and implementing joint projects in agriculture, industrial cooperation, healthcare, and education.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Alassane Dramane Ouattara happiness and success in his responsible work, and the people of Côte d'Ivoire peace and prosperity.
