Lida Milk Plant unveils its major investment projects

Lida Milk Plant has unveiled major investment projects now underway at the company, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin is visiting the parent company in Lida. The head of government has toured the company’s premises, and presided over a substantive discussion on the development of the country’s dairy industry.

According to Aleksandr Vorobei, chief engineer at Lida Milk Plant, a large‑scale modernization is underway at the company, both at the main facility and its branches. By 2030, the company aims to increase its milk processing volume by approximately 50%. “Currently, we process 603 tonnes of milk per day at Lida Milk Plant. After modernization, by 2028, we plan to increase processing by another 300 tonnes per day,” Aleksandr Vorobei shared. “High competition in the global market demands constant growth and renewal. This is the only way to produce a high‑quality product that meets consumer demands.”

The chief engineer discussed the progress of the “Milk Protein Concentrate” project at the plant. Construction and assembly work began in late May. Technological equipment worth €11.5 million has already been delivered, with full delivery expected by the end of June. Production launch is scheduled for 2028.

“The new equipment will allow us to process milk more deeply and, as a result, produce an import‑substituting product new to Belarus: milk protein concentrate,” Aleksandr Vorobei explained.
