Belarus biathlon team leaves for Sochi

         43 days before the Olympics in Sochi, Belarus biathlon team headed by Darya Domracheva left for the main event of four years. However, first of all our team is to participate in three stages of the World Cup: in Oberhof, Ruhpolding and Antholz. Women of the team will celebrate New Year in Austria, men - in Italy.
The World Cup 4th stage will be held in Oberhof. It will start on January 3 with two sprint races.
As a sovereign state, our country has participated in five Winter Olympics where we have won nine awards, four of which are in biathlon. During the past Olympics in Vancouver two Belarusian biathletes won two medals: Darya Domracheva - bronze and Sergey Novikov - silver. Both athletes will perform at the Olympics in Sochi.
