Belarusian community of Moldova celebrates 20th anniversary

    The Belarusian community of Moldova has achieved significant results in the preservation and development of the Belarusian culture and traditions, and has strengthened the ties with the historical homeland in science, economy, culture and education, Ambassador of Belarus to Moldova Vyacheslav Osipenko said at the meeting dedicated to the anniversary. The diplomat noted that the Belarusian community of Moldova has preserved the Belarusian identity, actively promotes the Belarusian culture by arranging various activities, and contributes to mutual spiritual enrichment of the friendly nations of Belarus and Moldova. On behalf of the Government of Belarus Vyacheslav Osipenko presented the certificates of honor to the Belarusian community, its Chairman Yuri Statkevich and other members. For her part, Director General of the Bureau of Interethnic Relations of Moldova Yelena Belyakova, on behalf of Moldova Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, awarded honorary diplomas to the Belarusian community of Moldova.
