The Minsk basketball club Horizont have qualified for the last 16 round of the women’s EuroCup. In the ultimate match in Group C Horizont defeated Turkey’s Tarsus Belediye Spor Kulubu at home 78:72 (15:17, 29:15, 18:17, 16:23). The best scorer of the game in the Minsk team was Tatiana Troina (21 points) and Alexandra Khomenchuk (18 points). In the other Group C match ACS Sepsi-Sic of Romania won against Novosibirsk’s Dynamo-GUVD 57:53. The Group C final standings are as follows: Horizont - 10 points, Tarsus Belediye Spor Kulubu - 9 points, Dynamo-GUVD - 9 points, and ACS Sepsi-Sic - 8 points. Horizont and Tarsus Belediye Spor Kulubu have advanced to the playoff round. Two other Belarusian teams played poorly during the EuroCup group stage and lost all six matches. Tsmoki Minsk propped up the Group A table, while Grodno’s Olympia collected the wooden spoon in Section D.
