CSTO Foreign Ministers discuss cooperation with OSCE

         The Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization discussed coordination of approaches to cooperation with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. The CSTO informal ministerial meeting took place as part of the OSCE ministerial meeting in the Ukrainian capital. The participants talked over the rules of preparing CSTO joint statements, which finalized document should be presented at the next meeting of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council. The participants of the meeting also discussed cooperation at international platforms and mutual support of candidates to the executive bodies of international organizations. The CSTO Foreign Ministers exchanged opinions and stances of their countries towards building up a dialogue with the OSCE, discussed cooperation of approaches to developing cooperation with the organization. “The current situation and cooperation development prospects with the OSCE are quite satisfactory and demonstrate an increase of mutual interest and trust,” CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha said commenting on the results of the informal meeting in Kyiv.
