The 15th session of the Belarusian-Moldovan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will be held in Chisinau on 9-10 December. The parties will discuss the status of implementation of the protocol of the previous meeting held in Minsk on 29-30 November 2012, the current state and prospects of development of trade and economic cooperation, cooperation in the agriculture, manufacturing, transport, construction, energy, communications, health and pharmaceuticals, tourism, culture, environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources, interregional cooperation. Several agreements and contracts are expected to be signed.
In January-August 2013 the bilateral trade between Belarus and Moldova amounted to $245 million, up 8% from the same period last year. Belarus had a $131 million surplus.
