Belarus, France discuss ways of strengthening investment cooperation

           Belarus and France discussed the ways of strengthening investment cooperation. This issue was high on the agenda of the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Guryanov to France. The Belarusian delegation attended the 154th session of the General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau. Alexander Guryanov met with Ms Anne-Marie Descotes, executive director of the Department of Globalization, Development and Alliances of France's Foreign Ministry. The parties discussed the development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation. At the request of the French side the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus presented the information on the activities and prospects of the development of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
           Special attention was paid to the prospects of accession to the World Trade Organization and to investment projects. Alexander Guryanov also met with the Mr. Eric Fournier, Director at the Continental Europe Department of the French Foreign Ministry, to discuss the Belarusian-French ministerial consultations, trade and economic cooperation, the establishment of mechanisms and instruments contributing to the revitalization of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and France.
