Equatorial Guinea ready for cooperation with Belarus

          Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valentin Rybakov met with President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Mbasogo in Malabo as part of an official visit of the Belarusian delegation to the country. According to Valentin Rybakov, Belarus views Equatorial Guinea as a promising partner in Central Africa. The Belarusian official presented information on industrial and agricultural potential of Belarus and noted that the main goal of the visit is to define major areas of bilateral cooperation, including the development of a legal framework. “The President of Equatorial Guinea showed interest in developing all-round cooperation, making an emphasis on such sectors as agriculture and industry. Teodoro Mbasogo expressed readiness of his country to develop a legal framework in the relations with Belarus, intensifying contacts between the Foreign Ministries as well as other ministries, agencies and chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries,” the press service noted. The parties discussed the organization of a visit of a delegation of Equatorial Guinea led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Agapito Mba Mokuy to Belarus in 2014.
