Belarusian-French cooperation in music vibrant

           People’s Artist of Belarus Mikhail Kozinets will conduct the European Youth Orchestra during their concerts in six cities of France, Belgium, Germany and Luxemburg. The opening ceremony of an international youth music festival featuring the European Youth Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Kozinets took place in France’s Nancy. The soloist of the orchestra was dulcimer player Alexandra Denisenya, a student of the Belarusian State Academy of Music who won a number of international and Belarusian national contests. The orchestra performed music by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Robert Schumann, Paul Hindemith and Belarusian composer Vladimir Kuryan. Attending the inaugural concert was Belarus’ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France Pavel Latushko, members of staff of the Belarusian embassy, local authorities and representatives of a number of French conservatoires. The European Youth Orchestra will perform concerts in Nancy, Luxemburg, Strasbourg, Liege, Metz and Saarbrucken until 4 November.
