Belarus presents its theatrical art in Paris

          A presentation of Belarusian theatrical art took place in Paris during Act 9 Theater Festival. The event was held at the city hall of the 9th district of Paris by the Belarusian-French Teatro Association jointly with the Belarusian State Academy of Arts and the Belarusian Embassy in Paris. The presentation featured the documentary about the Belarusian theatrical school. The film tells about the French students who studied theatrical art in Belarus. The young French actors speak highly of the acting school in Belarus.
In his speech Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko gave examples of the historical ties between the Belarusian and French cultures in the area of theatrical art. He also underlined the influence of the French ballet and opera schools on the Belarusian ballet and opera troupes in the 18th century, and on the production of the plays by Moliere, Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau at Nesvizh and Ruzhany.
