Teatralny Koufar Grand Prix goes to “MENSCH/Man”

         The Grand Prix of the 10th International Student Theater Festival Teatralny Koufar,
BSU-2013 went to “MENSCH/Man” by the Teatralny Kvadrat Experimental Laboratory from Minsk. Yevgeny Kornyag got the Best Director award for the performance Latent Men (Belarus). The Best Actress award went to Katrin Kalma (Tartu, Estonia), and Timon Sturbej (Slovenia) was named the Best Actor. Besides, the performance of the Vilnius University Theatre The Circus got the Best Scenic Design award. Lina Akif (Slovenia) and Anatoly Nikolayenkov (Russia) were named the Best Actor and Actress in a Supporting Role.  A number of special prizes were established by the Belarusian State University, the organizer of the festival. These prizes went to five theatre groups. The festival Teatralny Koufar, BSU-2013 was held in Minsk on 22-28 September. Partaking in the festival were the best student theatres and renowned theatre personalities from 18 countries: Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, France, and Estonia. 28 performances were presented at the Trade Unions Palace and the BSU lyceum; several productions were presented by the student theatres for the first time.
