Lukashenko sends Russia Day greetings to Putin

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent the Russia Day greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"For all Russians this holiday has become a symbol of national unity and pride, faith in a better future for their great country, which has a rich history and a unique cultural heritage," the message reads. “Today, the Russian Federation firmly upholds its national interests, creates conditions for sovereign development, and consistently strengthens its position in the international arena. Your commitment to the ideals of justice, high responsibility for the future of the state, and your desire to ensure security has received universal support from different generations of Russian citizens. I am convinced that the relations between Minsk and Moscow, sealed by centuries-old ties of friendship and brotherhood, will continue to steadily expand and deepen through our joint efforts."

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Vladimir Putin good health and successful fulfillment of all plans and aspirations, and the people of Russia - peace and accord.

Congratulatory messages from the Belarusian president were also sent to Russian Prime Minister, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State Mikhail Mishustin, Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Vyacheslav Volodin.
