Foreign currency sales exceed purchases by $135.9m in Belarus in January-November

In January-November 2022 Belarusians sold $135.9 million worth of foreign currency more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

In January-November 2022 individuals bought the equivalent of $9.032 billion in cash and cashless forms and sold $9.168 billion worth of foreign currency. In November, the net demand for foreign currency was $131.5 million.

Based on the data of the National Bank, economic entities of Belarus bought $926.6 billion worth of currency more than they sold in January-November. Legal entities of Belarus bought $24.719 billion worth of foreign currency and sold $23.792 billion in January-November 2022.

In November 2022 legal entities' purchases exceeded sales by $24.5 million.
