Belarus and Cuba objectively have potential to ramp up cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Belarus Santiago Perez Benitez said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko on 22 November, BelTA has learned.
“There is objective potential for expanding our cooperation. This includes export and import. I keep saying that Cuba has about 70,000 MTZ tractors and they need maintenance service. There is great potential here. The same pertains to MAZ trucks,” the ambassador said.
Vladimir Andreichenko and Santiago Perez Benitez are set to discuss interparliamentary contacts, including interaction through friendship groups, bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and humanitarian matters, as well as the upcoming visit to Belarus of Juan Esteban Lazo Hernandez, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba.
