CSTO secretary general in Kyrgyzstan, discusses situation in CSTO responsibility area

Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas is in Kyrgyzstan as part of preparations for a forthcoming session of the CSTO Collective Security Council. He met with Prime Minister, Head of the Kyrgyzstan President Administration Akylbek Japarov, Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Baktybek Bekbolotov, and Secretary of the Security Council Marat Imankulov on 4 October, BelTA has learned.

During the meetings the sides discussed the situation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s responsibility area in detail while focusing on Central Asia. Preparations for forthcoming sessions of the organization’s charter bodies and the fulfillment of individual instructions of the CSTO Collective Security Council were also in the spotlight.
