Belarus’ NOC to hold Olympic quiz to mark Day of Knowledge

The National Olympic Committee of Belarus will hold an Olympic quiz on 1 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the NOC.

For many years, the National Olympic Committee has been holding events on the Day of Knowledge to introduce schoolchildren to the history of sports and the Olympic movement. This time the Olympic lesson is organized in the format of a quiz that will bring together about 50 children from all districts of Minsk. All its participants will be awarded prizes and Olympics-themed record books. They will narrate about the main Olympic values and symbols, achievements of Belarusian sports.

President of the Belarusian NOC Viktor Lukashenko extended greetings to students on the start of the new school year and noted that the school lays the foundation of knowledge for life. He wished children interesting lessons, fun breaks and reliable friends.
