Lukashenko congratulates Erdogan on 30th anniversary of Belarus-Turkey diplomatic ties

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Belarus and Turkey, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Thanks to the strong political will, our cooperation has made substantial progress in all areas, primarily in trade, economy and investment,” the message reads.

The head of state noted that in today’s conditions it is hard to overestimate the importance of mutual support, equal partnership between Minsk and Ankara, including for the sake of maintaining sovereignty of the two countries.

“I am convinced that the significant potential and commitment to cooperation will play an important role in promoting mutually beneficial relations,” the president stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Recep Tayyip Erdogan good health and fruitful work, and the friendly people of Turkey peace and solidarity.
