Lukashenko gives go ahead to Belarus-Russia air force, air defense deal

      The practical implementation of Belarus-Russia arrangements on air force and air defense has to start now. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave the instruction at the government session held to discuss the future development of the Belarusian army.
      “I want the Defense Ministry to get down to the practical implementation of the arrangements made with the Russian Federation concerning air force and air defense systems,” said Alexander Lukashenko. The President remarked that it has to be done “taking into account results of recent meetings with the Russian Defense Minister and our arrangements with President of Russia Vladimir Putin”.
