Belarus, Arab Organization for Agricultural Development to expand cooperation

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt, Belarus' permanent representative to the League of Arab States Sergei Terentyev met with Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) Ibrahim El Dukheri, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Egypt.

The meeting focused on the results of the visit of the AOAD delegation led by Ibrahim El Dukheri to Belarus on 8-13 November, including the agreements reached on cooperation in agriculture, food security and certification, the organization of supplies of Belarusian agricultural machinery and equipment to the Middle East and North Africa.

Special attention was paid to the promotion of Belarusian agricultural technologies in the Arab countries. The parties discussed cooperation in environmental activities, and also higher and professional education.

The parties agreed on an algorithm of further interaction, including preparations for the signing of a high-level document on cooperation between Belarus and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development.
