Preparations for CIS summit discussed in Minsk

A meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives was held at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The first item on the agenda was the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government due in Minsk on 28 May. The CIS Executive Committee was thanked for the high degree of readiness of the documents to be submitted to the CIS Council of Heads of Government.

Then the permanent plenipotentiary representatives heard a report on the performance of the CIS Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology. The participants of the meeting noted that since its founding the interstate council has proved its worth and effectiveness. The Council is the coordinator and organizer of CIS joint work in the field of hydrometeorology.
