WANO technical support mission starts working at Belarusian nuclear power plant’s second unit

 

Experts of the Moscow center of the World Association of Nuclear Operators will carry out a technical support mission on 5-13 April in order to evaluate the operational readiness of the second unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA. The WANO experts will evaluate the effectiveness of the organizational structure and the administrative management of the second unit. They will analyze personnel training conditions and will inspect the radiation and fire safeguards as well as maintenance systems of the second unit. Apart from WANO experts the mission includes specialists of existing nuclear power plants from Russia, Bulgaria, the UAE, and Turkey.
