Belarus to take part in IDEX 2013 expo in Abu Dhabi

        Belarus’ defense companies will present their new products at the 11th International Defense Exhibition and Conference IDEX-2013 that will be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates on 17-21 February. IDEX is the largest international expo of armaments and defense solutions in the Middle East. Belarusian defense companies will present their latest technologies, solutions and equipment. The Belarusian delegation will include nine companies.
       “Participation in IDEX-2013 will provide a great opportunity to expand military and defense cooperation between Belarus and the United Arab Emirates, to forge new contacts with foreign companies and promote our products on foreign markets,” the State Defense Industries Committee informed. This year’s event is expected to gather over 900 companies or virtually every company involved in manufacturing weapons. According to preliminary estimates of the expo organizers, the expo will attract over 50,000 people while the expo is open to specialists only. Belarusian defense companies have been taking part in IDEX since 1999. Besides IDEX 2013, Belarusian products will be showcased at the international expo Intersec in Dubai.
