Belarus, Latvia to expand cooperation in education

      Belarus and Latvia plan to expand educational cooperation. the issue was discussed in a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Latvia Alexander Gerasimenko and Rector of the University of Latvia Marcis Auzins.
       The parties discussed cooperation between the educational establishments of Belarus and Latvia and prospects for expanding educational cooperation.
       The sides praised the joint efforts of the University of Latvia and the Belarusian Diaspora of Latvia in developing the Belarusian information center at the basis of this Latvian university. The agreement on the center was signed in November 2012. The Belarusian diplomat and the rector of the University of Latvia showed mutual interest in the development of this project.
