Belarus, Russia agree to expedite RosBelAvto creation

        The heads of the industrial departments of Belarus and Russia have agreed to speed up the process of setting up RosBelAvto Corporation at the basis of KAMAZ and MAZ, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia told media following the meeting between Industry Minister of Belarus Dmitry Katerinich and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov in Moscow. According to the Russian department, a number of organizational issues are to be addressed in order to launch the project. “We should cooperate more closely to take on a new level in the manufacturing sector and strengthen integration processes between our countries,” Denis Manturov said.
       The parties agreed to work out a common strategy for the development of the machine tool industries of Belarus and Russia, discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation in the production of agricultural equipment.
       The sides also touched upon the issues of integration in the military and industrial complex, radio-electronic industry and metallurgy. The two ministers agreed to continue industrial cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
