A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel took place on 15 February, the Russian President’s website informs. “The parties agreed on further joint work to promote the implementation of Minsk agreements,” the information reads.
In general, the four leaders discussed the issues related to the implementation of a complex of measures on peaceful regulation of the situation in the south-east of Ukraine signed by the participants of the contact group. “A special emphasis was made on strict observance of the universal ceasefire and the withdrawal of heavy weapons by warring parties,” the website says.
Besides, the heads of state talked over a difficult situation in the city of Debaltsevo and the role of the OSCE mission in monitoring the ceasefire regime.
