BSU in top 50 of QS University Rankings for Emerging Europe, Central Asia


      The pilot edition of a new ranking of universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia was presented by a well-known British agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) on 17 December. The Belarusian State University (BSU) made it to the top 50 universities in the QS World University Rankings. The Belarusian State University was ranked 38th out of 368 universities evaluated by the agency. The ranking was topped by Russia’s Lomonosov Moscow State University. It was followed by the Czech Republic’s Charles University, which shares second place with another Russian representative, Novosibirsk State University. Overall, out of 26 Russian entries, only eight sit higher than the Belarusian State University.
      Another Belarusian entry, Belarusian National Technical University, was placed in the group of universities sitting between the 61st and 70th spots.
