Belarus, Ireland discuss ways to boost economic cooperation


        Belarus and Ireland have discussed a possibility to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and investments.  These matters were top on the agenda of the working trip of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (on concurrent) Sergei Aleinik to Dublin on 8-9 December. He met with Political Director of the Foreign Ministry of Ireland Barry Robinson. The parties discussed cooperation prospects in trade, economy, politics, the humanitarian field, as well as cooperation between Belarus and the European Union and the situation in the region.
      Practical steps to ramp up the bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and investments was discussed with Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Simon Coveney and top executives of the Irish Stock Exchange.
