IBU satisfied with Belarus’ preparations to host the IBU Youth/Junior World Championships

Representatives of an expert commission of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) held a regular inspection and expressed satisfaction with Belarus’ preparations to host the IBU Youth/Junior World Championships which are to be held at the National Winter Olympic Training Center Raubichi in February 2015, the press service of the forthcoming championships reports. 

The expert commission was shown all the facilities of the biathlon center that will be used during the competitions: the indoor shooting room, the main and extra shooting ranges, servicemen’s cabins, houses for teams, a covered way to the shooting range and many more. The focus was made on the premises that will host an information collection center, a secretariat, a press center, cabins for commentators, a doping control, IBU offices and other services. The commission also visited hotels where the participants of the championships will stay, and Gorodok biathlon base in a small town of Gorodok in Vitebsk region. The new center may get the IBU license to host junior international competitions.
