The relevant decision has been made by the EEC Board, the Commission’s press service told media.
The Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission has prepared a draft joint statement for the sake of organizing and developing international cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. EEC-UNIDO cooperation is meant to help the Commission to carry out its tasks and functions more effectively. The Commission will be able to draw from UNIDO’s experience and research potential in the area of industrial development. This cooperation will also influence the future development of integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union, noted the press service.
The draft joint statement on cooperation envisages the intentions of the sides to interact in major individual development avenues of mutual interests. The number includes innovations and technological services for enterprises, exchange of knowledge and technologies, the enhancement of trade potential and export incentives, programs for enforcing market standards, the observance of quality and infrastructure requirements, support for the development of business infrastructure, the creation of industrial parks, regional innovation systems and clusters, assistance for the sake of encouraging entrepreneurship.
