A meeting of the OSCE-Russia-Ukraine contact group will take place in Belarus in the near future, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told media.
“It is expected that the meeting will be held at the earliest opportunity. We will specify the date as soon as the event in question approaches,” the representative of the Foreign Ministry said.
Dmitry Mironchik reminded reporters that at the meeting of the Presidents of the Customs Union, Ukraine and EU high representatives on 26 August a decision was taken to make Minsk a permanent meeting venue for the group. The official added: “We hope that the Belarusian platform will help find a solution to the crisis in Ukraine.”
