Three exhibitions dedicated to WWI open at National library

       The cultural-educational project "Chime of the Centuries" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War opened at the National Library of Belarus, BelTA reports. The project consists of three thematic exhibitions. One of them is "The First World War in Jean-Louis Forain’s lithographs”. The lithographs date back to 1914-1917. Reproductions of American posters created during the war, discs and books are showcased at the exhibition "The First World War in American posters, literature, films and music.” The exhibition "Roll Call of the Centuries: The First World War and World Today" presents the graphics made by artists and teachers from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine based on the poetic and prose works of famous writers.
      The project has been prepared by the National Library of Belarus, the Embassy of the United States in Belarus and the public organization "Belarusian Green Cross”. The exhibitions will stay open until 10 September.
