The issue of setting up the Russian-Belarusian holding company Rosbelavto will be reviewed at a intergovernmental meeting before 15 August, we learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
"The meeting of the working group on the establishment of the holding company Rosbelavto, which will include MAZ and KAMAZ, is scheduled to be held in Moscow,” said the press service. During the meeting the parties are expected to work out a draft intergovernmental agreement.
As was reported, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko said that it is difficult to create such holding company as Rosbelavto as Belarus and Russia have differences in the legal frameworks.
The project involves the creation of the holding company by transferring the shares of the two companies: 75% plus 1 share by MAZ and 49.9% by KAMAZ.
According to estimates, the future holding company involving Minsk Automobile Plant and Kama Automobile Plant will become the largest auto manufacturer in the CIS.
